Dear Members and Friends of Trinity Grace,
This week marks the beginning of Advent. It is a season where we turn our mind’s attention and heart’s affection in an intentional way to the arrival of our Savior. As we enter this season of waiting on the Lord, there is also much we can look back on with gratitude, specifically as we consider how the Lord has been at work through Trinity Grace Church.
This past year our church was able to complete a property acquisition where we purchased just over 8 acres of land in hopes of establishing a permanent home for Trinity Grace in the coming years. We also brought on a church planting apprentice who is currently gathering a group of members from Trinity Grace to launch a new confessional and missional church in the Alamo Ranch area of San Antonio.
On top of these exciting developments we have experienced the Lord’s care as he continues to shape and form us more into the image of Jesus individually and corporately. Week after week we have gathered for Sunday morning worship as a community in order to praise the Lord for his work in our lives and this world. Not only does God refresh our souls through corporate worship, He is also shaping and forming our affections for Him. Our youth ministry continues to grow in scope and reach, seeking to equip and encourage our students in faithfulness as they follow Jesus. We are also working to establish our children in the love and grace of Jesus through our various children’s ministry offerings. Our Neighborhood Groups are meeting in people’s homes all along the 1604 corridor in an effort to build deeper relationship and pray for one another. We also have a number of vibrant Bible studies that meet weekly in order to study the Scriptures more in depth in community. In the coming weeks we will be distributing hundreds of “Boxes of Blessing” to food insecure families in our community as a tangible demonstration of Christ’s love and care. Over the past year we have welcomed dozens of new members into our church community. There is much to be thankful for as we consider how the Lord has blessed our church over the past year.
We look forward to how the Lord will continue to work in and through our church community. We long to see more of our friends and neighbors know the love and grace of Jesus. We also pray that God would continue the good work he has begun in each one of us so that we might experience more freedom and joy in the Gospel.
God is at work in and through the people of our church. You play an essential role in this story of grace. Your generosity, sacrificial participation, and joyful engagement have been vital to Trinity Grace’s fruitful ministry over this past year.
As we approach the end of the year, we can thank the Lord for his provision over the years and for the financial strength that Trinity Grace enjoys. We have already received $644,369 in tithes and offerings, which is well ahead of last year’s giving. As expected at this time of year, a gap remains to be addressed so that Trinity Grace can meet all of our 2024 ministry obligations. The Session anticipates needing slightly over $115,000 in additional tithes and offerings before December 31.
Your giving has enabled our church to meet or exceed our budgeted ministry goals year after year, and we hope to do the same this year. Achieving our goal enables us to engage meaningful ministry opportunities, allowing Trinity Grace to continue our mission of reaching and renewing San Antonio with the hope of the Gospel.
The Session asks you to sacrificially and prayerfully consider your year-end giving, ensuring that Trinity Grace meets or exceeds all our ministry priorities. You can make your gift in the Trinity Grace church center mobile app, at www.trinitygracesa.org/give, or by mailing a check to the church office at 6391 DeZavala #106 San Antonio, TX 27849.
The Lord has been kind to Trinity Grace over the past 7 years of our life together. Thank you for loving and serving your church so well. Please join us in praying that the Lord would provide abundantly through his people as we near the end of 2024.
In the Hope of the Gospel,
The Session of Trinity Grace Church
